Reservist's pipe of monumental proportions, length with mouth tube bent over 103 cm. "2nd Esc(adron) (Prussian) Ul(anan R(e)g(imen)t 3 (Alexander II of Russia). Gem. inscription on porcelain pipe bowl property of Adolf Opitz, served from 1899 to 1902. Pipe bowl shaped as an Uhlan helmet. The pipe is made of antler and buffalo horn, wrapped with cord, ending in 2 tassels. On the pipe bowl backwards approx. 36 names of the applicable recruit year. Exceptional original reservist pipe with many interesting and intricate details in near mint condition, a top piece!
