Our specimen impresses with a very good condition with a very clean barrel. Clean preserved system and wood. Sling swivel lugs. Behind the cover there is space for a cleaning kit with only the plastic case present here.
This rifle was introduced to the Austrian Army (there "7,62 mm Gewehr M1") after WWII among many other armed forces worldwide, originally in the USA in 1936. It was produced until 1957. A semi-automatic design that was the archetype for many other systems, for example the Ruger Mini-14.
