The famous German manufacture Krieghoff dates back to 1886 and was located in Suhl (Thuringia), one of the most famous German cities for gun manufacturing. Over the decades, they produced both hunting and military weapons. In 1947, under Russian occupation, the Suhl plant was destroyed. For Krieghoff, a new beginning then began in Ulm (Baden-Würtenberg) in the 1950s. Krieghoff holds a number of patents.
